Privacy policy
Approval Nudge is built on Atlassian Forge and qualifies for Atlassian's Runs on Atlassian program: it runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure and declares zero data egress. No data from your Jira site is ever transmitted to us or to any third party. We — the app's developer — have no servers, no analytics endpoint, and no technical means of receiving your data.
What the app stores
The app stores the following in Forge app storage, hosted by Atlassian within your site's data-residency boundary:
- Per-project settings — the configuration a project admin chooses (cadence, caps, escalation contacts, feature toggles).
- Per-request nudge history — a record of what the app did on each request: approver display names and account IDs, timestamps, and event types (reminder posted, email resent, escalation raised). This is what powers the request panel's audit trail.
This data is deleted by Atlassian when the app is uninstalled, per the Forge platform's storage lifecycle.
What the app accesses
To do its job, the app uses these Atlassian-granted permissions inside your site only:
- Read and write Jira work items — to post reminder comments and (if enabled) perform the approval-email resend on the JSM Approvers field.
- Read Jira Service Management approvals — to find requests waiting on a decision and see which approvers have not yet answered.
- Read Jira user information — to @-mention the right people.
- App storage — as described above.
The app acts only in projects where a project administrator has explicitly enabled it.
What we collect about you
Nothing. We receive no personal data from app users. If you email support, we see whatever you choose to send us, use it solely to resolve your issue, and do not share it with anyone.
Sub-processors
None. Atlassian hosts the app and its storage as the platform provider; no other party is involved.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data handling ever changes (for example, a future feature requiring egress), this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be visible in the app's Marketplace privacy declarations, which Atlassian requires to be accurate.
